Container-chic doesn't usually work, but Boxo pulls it off. The rooms are converted shipping containers — sounds gimmicky, feels anything but. Each one is thoughtfully designed with good beds, hot showers, and enough space to not feel claustrophobic.
The pool catches the afternoon sun and a resident DJ reads the room from about 3pm onwards. Not thumping club music — more laid-back tropical house that fits the palm trees and the ocean breeze perfectly.
The beach is right there. Thirty seconds from your room, through a gate, and your feet are in the Indian Ocean. The sand here is that fine white powder that squeaks when you walk on it, and the water is warm enough to swim in without any hesitation.
Staff are friendly without being overbearing. Check-in is hassle-free. The bar stays open late enough. If you're under 40 and want energy with your beach trip — this is it.
